Monroe Township’s Recreation Committee provides advice to the Board of Supervisors regarding use, maintenance and development of the township’s four recreation areas. Here is a list of the parks and their amenities:
Thomas C. Smith, Jr. Memorial Park (off Park Road):
Large playground with PLAYWORLD, Inc. equipment,
- swings
- spring animals
- rock wall, and merry-go-round
- Tennis courts
- Basketball court
- Two baseball fields
- Concession stand
- Pavilion with 10 tables (this is one that can be reserved)
- Men’s and women’s flush toilets
Monroe Manor Park:
- Slide
- Swings
- Basketball court
- Volleyball court
- Large grass field
- Climbing structure
- No bathroom facilities at this park
Recreation Park #3 (behind the township office):
- Junior baseball field with lights
- Large soccer field with lights
- Small soccer field
- Concession stand
- Men’s and women’s flush toilets
- Pavilion with 4 picnic tables (this is one that can be reserved)
- Walking path
- Large PLAYWORLD, Inc. play structure
- Disc Golf Course
Shady Nook Boat Launch:
- Public boat launch
- Picnic Pavilion
- Picnic tables
- Grills
- Swing
- Portable toilets

Recreation Committee Meetings are held the third Wednesday of the month at 7:00 p.m., as needed.
